5-6 Arkansas Storms Update

Arkansas Baptist Disaster Relief is hard at work across the state! We have teams in Walnut Ridge, Central Arkansas, Sebastian and Crawford Counties, and Nashville.

Our chainsaw teams from Walnut Street and Central Baptist in Jonesboro are working on recovery efforts in Walnut Ridge.

Balboa Baptist Church has deployed a chainsaw unit to Benton and volunteers are assessing damage done to homes in the area. They will be joined by Indian Springs chainsaw volunteers at the beginning of next week.

First Baptist Church in Alma is hosting our Incident Management Team as well as chainsaw teams from Northwest Arkansas and First Baptist Clarksville as they provide assistance for Sebastian and Crawford Counties. Grand Avenue Baptist has been providing food for survivors in these same counties. Chainsaw teams from Arkansas River Valley, Tri-County, and Faulkner as well as the shower/laundry unit from Geyer Springs will also arrive this week to continue assisting homeowners as they work towards recovery.

Chaplains and assessors are canvasing these areas to reach more families!

Please continue to pray for the survivors, our leadership teams, and volunteers as they work together to restores homes and lives.
