UPDATE
Hundreds of residences have been damaged by the Arkansas River flooding, with many currently displaced from their homes. Currently, the river level is going down in Fort Smith and Van Buren. Yesterday and today it is forecast for the river to crest in Morrilton, Toad Suck, and Little Rock. Pine Bluff is projected to crest on June 5 and 6. The weather forecast for this week is 4-6” of additional rain. This is going to add to the current floods.
We are still waiting for the flooding to end, but the time for action is here. As it stands, we are going to start working in Fort Smith this coming Wednesday, June 5.
Some news outlets have been covering the work of Disaster Relief. Here are links to that coverage from KNWA and Fox/4029.
We will be having another training this Saturday, June 8, in White Hall from 9-11 a.m. There is no registration for this event, simply show up at that time. The location and address are below.
