Severe flooding has occurred across the Plains, with much of the worst damage in Nebraska and Iowa. Arkansas Baptist Disaster Relief is in the process of deploying to Nebraska.
This will likely be a lengthy deployment. Arkansas Baptist Disaster Relief is setting up a unified command structure that will oversee the relief efforts, as well as several satellite locations spread out across flooded areas with Incident Management teams at each location reporting directly to the unified command.
The current deployment will see incident management units, assessors and chaplains on the field, with recovery, feeding, and shower/laundry units remaining on standby.
