9-13 Update [Hurricane Ida]

UPDATE

Clean-up efforts with the Arkansas Baptist Disaster Relief continue in Hammond, Louisiana. There are many properties still being assessed, but jobs are continuing to come in and teams are working to complete them.

Since we first arrived on September 2nd, we have successfully completed 63 jobs with many more to come. We have been able to distribute 31 Bibles and have had 41 professions of faith between us and several other state Disaster Relief volunteers!

Arkansas Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) have already sent teams of students down for weekend clean-up efforts. This will continue for as long as they are needed.

PRAY

Continue to pray for the Louisiana and Mississippi Disaster Relief leadership as they prepare for incoming teams, search for housing sites for incoming DR volunteers, and coordinate with other states to provide for survivors

Continue to pray for the survivors as they begin the process of rebuilding and that God would open the hearts of those who need to hear the Gospel and provide comfort amid turmoil

Pray for the travel of all volunteers as they travel to help and minister to survivors.

Continue to pray that DR and BCM volunteers would be spiritually prepared for ministry opportunities and to minister to survivors.
