4-03 Northwest Arkansas Tornado

UPDATE

Arkansas Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers responded in Northwest Arkansas to tornado damage left by a EF-3 tornado in parts of Fayetteville and Springdale on March 31-April 3. Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Balboa Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village and the Southwest Baptist Association Recovery Units spent the majority of the weekend continuing to clean-up and help those who had been affected. Units wrapped up their work and moved out on April 3.

Arkansas Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers worked a total of 275.5 hours, completing 12 chainsaw jobs, preparing 1,037 meals and more. They were able to distribute 5 Bibles and 2 tracts. While no salvations were recorded, seeds were undoubtedly planted in lives across Washington county.

PRAY

Continue to pray for the homeowners who were affected by the tornado as they begin the road to recovery.

Pray for local churches in the area to continue to minister to those in their cities who were impacted.
